This ultra-small mono amplifier is incredibly powerful - able to deliver up to 2.5 Watts into a 4-8 ohm impedance speaker. Inside the miniature chip is a class D controller, which can run from 2.0V-5.5VDC. Since the amp is Type D it's very efficient (90% more efficient when driving an 8Ω speaker at more than half a Watt) - making it perfect for portable and battery-powered projects. It has built-in overheating and overcurrent protection but we could barely tell if it was hot. There's even a fader pot so you can adjust the volume on the panel down from the default 24dB gain. The amplifier's A + and A- inputs pass through the 1.0uF capacitors, so they're purely 'differential' - if you don't have a differential output, just tie the Audio pin to ground. The output is "Bridge Tied" - it means that the output pins connect directly to the speaker pins, not to ground. The output is a 250KHz high frequency square wave PWM which is then 'averageed out' by the speaker coil - the high frequencies are not heard. All of the above means that you cannot connect the output to another amplifier, it has to drive the speakers directly. CJMCU

We also include a connector for plugging it into the circuit board and a 3.5mm screw terminal block so you can easily attach / remove your speakers. You'll be ready to play in 15 minutes!
