This is a pwm i2c driver controlled by a congenital clock. That means that, unlike the tlc5940 family, you don 't have to keep sending signals that bind your microcontroller, this is totally free! This is a compliant 5v, which means you can control it from a 3.3v microcontroller and still drive safely to a 6v output (this is good for when you want to control white or blue led with 3.4 forward voltage) 6 address select pin so that you can connect up to 62 of these on a single i2c bus, a total of 992 output - that 's a lot of servos or leds
Adjustable pwm frequency up to about 1.6 khz
Resolution 12-bit for each output-- for servos, it means about resolution 4us at an updated rate of 60hz
